I did not know what to expect, but knew that Gusbourne had a good reputation for their wine. I was so impressed with the whole event. From the professional yet friendly approach from all the staff to the quality of the good and the wine It was the most enjoyable event, and I am so delighted as it was a treat for my friend's birthday. We met some really lovely guests too, so that made it even more enjoyable. I congratulate everyone involved, it was really festive, enjoyable and interesting all at the same time.

Thank you so much for such a truly festive and enjoyable time. I loved every minute of it from the welcome (how lucky with the weather!!! thanks for arranging that too!!). The wine tasting was handled really well and very informative in a relaxed and easy way. The food was just fabulous and of course the wine was delicious. Thank you so very much, I would love to come again.

Absolutely wonderful afternoon spent at Gusbourne learning about this relatively new British wine maker. Staff were really friendly and welcoming. From the reception drinks & fabulous mince pies to the three course lunch was exceptional along with all the wonderful wines we got to taste!!

Highly recommend this experience and would do it again. Brilliant value for money.

The Gusbourne estate was very generous either their wine. As a Gusbourne member, I enjoy their wine all through the year. I am pleased I live locally, so can visit regularly!

Absolutely excellent day at Gusbourne. Staff were really good, very informative and would definitely go back. The one very minor criticism is that the food could have been a bit hotter.

It might have been nice to have the opportunity to have a coffee at the end of the meal but this did not detract from the lovely experience

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The wine was amazing and plentiful, the guides very knowledgable and interesting and we felt we had great value for money. The food was delicious, although the pudding was a little disappointing (lacking in flavour). A new Christmas tradition in the making!

This was a fab trip. Travelzoo reps were very friendly and helpful. We felt that theGusbourne staff were generous and very sharing with their fantastic wines, and the meal itself was absolutely delicious. Can’t wait to go back again next year!

Great day with lovely wine starting with the welcome drink and throughout the meal. Our host from Gusbourne was very knowledgeable and we learnt a lot. Superb food too.

Very enjoyable with friendly and knowledgeable staff. Excellent food and no shortage of sparkling wine.

It would be most helpful to have a crib sheet of the wines so that I could make tasting notes. The website would significantly benefit from a map indicating Gusbourne’s location. The current guide is insufficient given the location in the middle of the countryside on narrow roads

Food and wine was excellent

Beautiful vineyard. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. Thoroughly enjoyed the wine tasting. Very interesting to hear about the whole wine making process. The staff were very informative. The three course lunch was incredible and paired so well with the wine. Would definitely recommend.

Couple minor points 1/ Really needed some wafers or non flavoured crisps to accompany the wine or other nibbles 2/ It was disappointing there was no coffee after the meal. 3/ Needed a taste card to mark wines of interest and keep track of what was sampled 4/ Would have been nice to see the time making process and explanation rather than just which vine and root stock Otherwise a very enjoyable day good food nice social occasion. It was our wedding anniversary so a nice treat.

What a lovely event. Plenty of good wine with no hard sell. The food was exquisite and we liked the fact that we were able to sit with and meet some lovely people.

Getting there is a problem as there are no local taxi company’s. They would be fit from providing a shuttle bus to the station maybe. The staff were great and the wine was really first class.

We had an enjoyable time at this event, despite the rain. The food was delicious and well presented. The wine was not as good as our last visit or as plentiful and the host was not as attentive as last time. But overall we had a lovely day.

Wasn’t sure why this event was £99 and the Xmas one is only £79 and therefore much better value when we tried the most expensive wine at the Xmas event.
