More Reasons to Go

  • Albert Cottage is a country house hotel with a boutique feel. Original Victorian tiled floors, coving and wood panels, and fireplaces create an atmosphere of period elegance.
  • The restaurant and bar has views of the garden. It is a fitting spot to indulge in Victorian afternoon tea (supplement applies).
  • The property is a stone's throw from Osborne House. Walk through opulent state rooms, family suites, and "glorious gardens" (Country Living).
  • The scenic 68-mile Isle of Wight coastal path covers the entire circumference of the island. The section of the path that connects East Cowes and Ryde is a short stroll from the hotel.
*Ferry crossing reservations are made through Albert Cottage. Car ferry crossing on both Red Funnel and Wightlink is for a standard car (up to 5 metres in length and 2.4 metres in height). In the event of ferry crossing cancellations, contact the hotel to secure alternative ferry crossing dates. Your voucher will be redeemed for the original booking date, but the hotel will honour the voucher up to 12 months from the original booking date at no extra charge.

Lovely friendly hotel and staff. Great breakfast with lots of choice, even for vegetarians. Rooms were comfy and had a large bathroom, everything was clean although mattress and pillows could do with upgrade but I think the owner is gradually working through the hotel. The bar area was beautifully decorated and the cocktails were delicious, as was dinner. The garden patio was very inviting and oin the love,y weather we had we were very happy to spend lots of time out there. So close to Osbourne House and Cowes.

High class hotel set in lovely grounds in easy reach of Cowes and in walking distance of Osborne House, The room was spacious, well appointed and very comfortable. The food both dinner and breakfast was first rate. The icing on the cake at this hotel though were the staff who were amazing. A really high quality of efficient and friendly service. Nothing was too much trouble and they made the trip a memorable one.

A perfect two night stay, every member of staff was friendly, helpful and professional. Our room was most comfortable and the food was imaginative, well cooked and beautifully presented. Just wish we could have stayed longer.

We couldn’t fault nothing. Everything at Albert Cottage was amazing. The staff were so attentive, happy and accommodating. The hotel room and En-suite was huge with a tub bath and a shower big enough for 4! The hotel food was out of this world such quality. The grounds was fabulous too. Can’t wait to go back!

nice grounds to the hotel. The food was excellent. The only downside was that the beds were very firm which meant we did not sleep comfortably.

Staff seemed not to know about the cocktail part of our booking. Then came up with the menu and we were whisked off to the restaurant before we could enjoy them. Also meaning we were rushed with our dinner choices. On the second morning the pastries were very well done. They had no marmalade. The toast took about 15 mins to appear. We weren’t even asked if we’d had a good time while we were there. Shame that the staff were not as good as the hotel itself.
