The facilities were generally very good, with one or two areas of poor cleanliness. The need to walk through the entire hotel - including an outside corridor in dressing-gowns to access the bar for lunch was not the best - though lunch itself was very good.

The treatment that I had was really wonderful, I would have it again. The therapist was fantastic .

I arrived at the spa at 10.15am, and there was a water aerobics class going on in the pool. The class had just started so the music was absolutely blasting out - it was awful. So I couldn’t use the pool, and I couldn’t get away from the booming music. The class finished at 11. My treatment was booked for 11:30 . So I had no time to really relax or enjoy the steam room or sauna as the music penetrated everywhere. If I had been informed at the time of booking that an exercise class would be going on I would’ve gone at a different time. My spa was far from relaxing. I left after my treatment. In addition the afternoon tea was poor, and to be honest I would have preferred the light lunch option but was told I couldn’t swap as my voucher was through a third party.

I booked this offer as a 60th birthday treat for my sister. We arrived a little early, but were welcomed & shown to a waiting area whilst we completed the health questionnaire. The Hotel is in beautiful grounds and spa & health club in a separate annex, joined to the main building by a glass corridor. Spa staff were friendly & efficient. Afternoon tea was in a lovely room just off the bar and had views of the garden & barn. The food was lovely - fresh & plentiful, with a glass of bubbly on arrival & unlimited tea. We opted for a shoulder, neck & scalp massage for our included treatments, which was very relaxing Following our treatments we spent a lovely couple of hours in the pool are, sauna, steam room, heated loungers & relaxation room with complimentary herbal teas & water.
Other Comments
All in all, a lovely afternoon & great value for money. My only small criticism is that the area around the pool was quite dirty, with some large areas of “pooled” water which could have been dangerous. A wipe round with the floor squeegee wouldn’t have gone amiss. Otherwise a thoroughly enjoyable experience and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend
