Moorhill House is a lovely hotel in glorious surroundings. The garden and terrace were perfect for a hot couple of days, and eating breakfast outside was a real treat. The breakfast was excellent, and restaurant meals also very good. The staff couldn't have been more helpful - they genuinely want to engage with their guests and make their stay as enjoyable as possible. The room was perfectly adequate - our only quibble was that the bathroom was very cramped, with the sloping ceiling meaning that the mirror is to one side of the washbasin. That was a small issue though in comparison with the whole experience.

A lovely hotel with great staff. Very comfortable public areas and a pleasant outdoor space. The food was tasty and well presented. Evening meals were very good and the breakfasts provided everything needed. It was great to have cooked to order options. The cream tea as part of our package was very welcome. Our room was 'compact' but clean and well-provisioned. All the staff we encountered were outstanding and really helped to make our stay an enjoyable experience.

No aircon. Well it was the hotel May Bank Holiday so unusual temperatures. Book a table for dinner in advance as quite a lot of locals use the restaurant.

We liked the nearness to the moors and the ponies . The rooms were lovely as it had a recent refurbishment. The staff were very kind and friendly.

A really relaxing few days , the staff are all wonderful , super friendly and helpful , our room had everything you could want including lovely toiletries and fluffy white towels , breakfast was faultless , quality ingredients beautifully presented .

This hotel is luxurious without being pretentious and has the most amazing staff that you would find anywhere. The ambience of the hotel is absolutely perfect and it was a pleasure to stay here.

No food available on Mondays and Tuesdays but we ate on Sunday evening and it was quite wonderful. Fabulously stocked bar and beautiful lounges overlooking the grounds I would highly recommend visiting this place for a relaxing, friendly, leisurely environment.
