The White Hart Inn is a characterful former coaching inn dating from 1554.
Rustic and hearty British cuisine is served in the dining room. Ingredients are sourced locally, and the bar stocks regional guest ales and Hereford cider.
Winchcombe is a sleepy market town with quaint cottages, boutiques, and a 15th-century church. It was once the capital of the Anglo-Saxon kingdom of Mercia.
The property is a good base for exploring pretty Cotswolds villages. Day-trip options include Bourton-on-the-Water, Stow-on-the-Wold, and Moreton-in-Marsh. All are within 30 minutes' drive of the hotel.
Ramblers could pick up either of the Cotswold Way and Gloucestershire Way trails. Both of these long-distance walking routes pass through Winchcombe.

What a great hotel. Hospitality survives only with good staff and all staff at the White Hart are excellent.
I judge a hotel on its breakfast and the evening meals were all good quality.
The value for money was amazing.

Excellent in every way and great value for money. the staff were very good; friendly & efficient: on the phone, on arrival and service. We had a nice clean room with lovely new bathroom with separate bath & shower facilities [bath a bit slippery & no support handle]. It's a lovely characterful old building very nicely kept. Food and atmosphere were very good and our kind of music [1960s?] played quietly and not impinging on guest experience or conversation. Central location in lovely old Cotswold market town and very near Sudeley castle [well worth visiting]

We enjoyed our stay at the White Hart despite a few issues. We had booked a Superior Room but unfortunately were given a very small double room. When queried we were advised that there were no other rooms available and an apology and two free drinks were offered for compensation. The room itself was fine, albeit small with a small double and very dark!! However it was clean with a bra d new bathroom, although hot tap did not work in the sink!! The dinner however was excellent, although we had to query the fact that on our confirmation stated it included a 2 course evening mea from a set menu, but once seated were given an a la carte menu and told we had £20 each towards our food. However, this was resolved once pointed out. Breakfast was also excellent, as was our cream tea (although a choice of scone/jam would be better). Overall, we enjoyed our night away although I think there are some teething problems which needs to be resolved between Travelzoo and the accommodation provider.

We were welcomed by very friendly and helpful staff and after taking our bags up to our rooms we were served a cream tea. A lovely fresh warm scone with clotted cream and jam. Winchcombe is a delightful Cotswolds town surrounded by lovely countryside. We went for a lovely walk and explored the surroundings, so much to see. The evening meal was absolutely delicious and we were lucky enough to be able to join in the pub quiz which was great fun and very inclusive. The beds were comfortable, one of our rooms had an amazing view of surrounding country. Breakfast was also amazing. Overall we had a fabulous stay at the White Hart and it was incredible value. Thank you to all the staff who made us so welcome.

A delightful inn set in the heart of this picturesque little town surrounded by beautiful rolling countryside and many easily accessible characterful Cotswold towns and villages. We received a warm welcome from all staff providing excellent service throughout our stay.
Our room was very clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated. Meals were plentiful, delicious and imaginatively presented with a good choice even for us as vegetarians.
The inn was constantly bustling with customers, locals and visitors alike. An added bonus was the highly popular twice-monthly quiz on our first evening which was great fun and hugely entertaining.
We highly recommend The White Hart.

We stayed in a large, superior room with a very comfortable King size bed and large clean shower room with White company shower gel, shampoo and soap. Good quality tea bags in the room with an option for fresh milk from the bar.
Warm scones with cream and jam were served as soon as we were ready after arriving.
We had two tasty evening meals from the Prix fixe menu and nice wine. My husband, a real ale lover was particularly pleased to see the four hand pumps in the bar!!
Breakfast included cereals, pastries etc as well as a huge variety of hot food, my husband particularly enjoyed his veggie breakfast and the friendly attentive staff were on hand to top up tea and coffee as you wanted.
We stayed on a Friday and Saturday night and the pub was busy with friendly locals but we had tables reserved both nights in the dining rooms so no problem to have a table.
Heavy rain as we arrived so we dropped our luggage off from the small car park behind the pub but the long stay car park was only a few minutes walk along a lane across the road.
We loved our stay in the White Hart , the particularly friendly, helpful staff made the stay really enjoyable.
