We took our goldie and he was welcomed with open arms and we had our meals in the bistro with him on a beautifully set up table. The fields were beautifully mown with a special path round for our pooch - he absolutely loved it. The first hotel we've been to where he refused to get in the car on departure - maybe cos he was given a sausage for breakfast!!!

I used a Travelzoo voucher with covered 2 nights with dinner. The hotel looks amazing and is in a quiet location but close to many attractions. We were upgraded to a suite, large and comfortable. The hotel is well-staffed, plenty of help and all were cheerful and efficient. You were made to feel special.
Breakfast and evening meal were of excellent quality. Outdoor areas were attractive and plenty of shade was provided in blisteringly hot weather.

The only issue we had was an inexplicable 35 minute wait between starter and main course on Night 2. There were only 2 other couples in the restaurant and service, apart from this hiccup, had been first class.

A delightful 2 nights break. We had a huge extremely comfortable twin bedded room on the ground floor with sash windows that could be opened as much as we wanted to bearing in mind rhe recent high temperatures Both breakfast and dinner were excellent with good choices on the menu. The outside seating area, only recently upgraded provided a calm and peaceful area to enjoy a glass of wine before dinner.

We had a pleasant stay. Hotel room quite tired and lots of things in it need addressing., but understand new management only took over nine months ago and is starting to improve areas. Downstairs communal area very nice. Thought food good with the exception of our first breakfast which was quite greasy and fried eggs were extremely overdone and solid. Following days breakfast excellent. Staff all very pleasant.

The bedroom, whilst large and well furnished, as well as the bathroom were tired and in need of attention. Torn curtains, poor tile grouting, no welcome pack, old and faded reading materials to name a few observations. The exterior paintwork of all window frames also require attention with flaking paint clear to see. The restaurant and bar staff were not at all engaging and appeared to just be going through the motions without any real care for genuine customer satisfaction. Plenty of indoor and outdoor comfortable seating as well as the very good quality food served at both dinner and breakfast were the highlights of our stay.

First the positives - Lovely staff and public areas that have been refurbished look really smart. Bedrooms not yet been refurbished so look a little tired. Food in the restaurant is good but really disappointed with the way the menu is designed. The Travelzoo voucher stated a 2 course dinner at £39 per person was included but when presented either dinner menu nearly every item had a surcharge and where on the hotel website it stated that 2 courses cost £39 and 3 courses cost &45, on the menu it stated that a 3rd course was £12.95. So at best it’s misleading and at worst it’s’gouging’. Shame because it just gave a bad taste to what otherwise was a pleasant stay.

Traditional Queen Anne hotel in a beautiful area. Staff were lovely, food delicious and outside space pretty. Had a downstairs room due to mobility issues, plenty of space, shower a bit tight but ok, room due for refurbishment (public rooms already done) but perfectly acceptable. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return in not too distant future (whether it’s refurbished or not)

We had a 3 night stay and were made to feel very welcome. The chef is excellent and we some lovely meals although far too large a portion for both my husband and myself. Service in all areas was very good. There is plenty of garden seating around the hotel either sitting by the pond or if you prefer behind the hotel in a courtyard whic looked to be newly done. This hotel is under new ownership and i believe a refurb programme is underway, the bedroom we were in was very big but it needs some attention to quality of beds, hopefully that will happen soon.

First impressions upon arrival at the hotel were that it's a little bit shabby (externally certainly). And whilst the bedroom could have done with a lick of paint and some TLC, the bed was HUGE and very comfortable. A particularly silly little annoyance was the provision of toiletries - which were minimal (and certainly insufficient), however we requested more of these from reception and they were then provided. The Bistro and Bar area were pleasant enough and the outdoor courtyard is a very nice space and all looks brand new. Service was excellent (Kris I think was the bartender's name). We took dinner in the Restaurant and were surprised by how good the food was. Our expectations were certainly exceeded. Breakfast was nothing short of magnificent. A small buffer selection of juices, cereals, yoghurt/compote and extensive pastries - all supplemented by a hot main from an a la carte menu. My wife had kippers - a rare treat and something infrequently seen offered anywhere else.
In summary, this was an exceptionally good value for money experience and we would stay at this hotel again if in the area.

Well located for a Cotswold visit. Set back from road with attractive pond which gave a nice al fresco touch and reasonable peace. Room perfectly adequate with traditional/dated decor which will suit some but not others.
Staff charming and helpful. Not so sure about the food. May have been unlucky that the meat options were lesser cuts of beef and lamb which left something to be desired but there were other options which may have been better.

Fabulous could not have been better. This is a lovely place to stay. Our room was very spacious, beautifully decorated and the bathroom had 2 showers, one into the corner bath, the other in its own cubicle. The food was absolutely delicious with subtle changes each day so you never ate the same meal as you did the previous evening i had chicken both nights first night with a gravy second night a delicious cream and tarragon sauce and the vegetable sides and potatoes changed too. Breakfast was excellent with plenty choices. The dining room has been beautifully decorated and the tables have proper white crisp linen tablecloths no cutting corners here. The hotel is going through a refurbishment and the downstairs lounges and bar have been done lovely as is the plentiful rattan garden furniture and parasols at the back for alfresco drinks and eats. The front of the hotel has white wrought iron chairs and tables for you to enjoy the huge pond at the front and general scenery. We will be returning to Corse Lawn.

We stayed many times under the previous owner. The rooms were becoming. urgently in need of refurbishment but had a quirky charm. The new owners have embarked on on a process of improvement, starting with the public areas. What was outstanding in the past was the range of choices and excellence of the fine dining dinner offer. While dinner on this visit was fine,it is clear that they are going for a more limited and conventional model. However the price of fairly ordinary desserts at £12.50 did seem excessive.

This hotel is a real gem. The new owners have refurbished the ground floor rooms, which are warm and welcoming. Next on their agenda are the bedrooms.
Our room was large, obviously needing updating, but was still very comfortable and we slept well in the large bed.
Our evening meal was delicious and the breakfast was plentiful and beautifully cooked. Kippers, smoked salmon as well as a full English was on offer, with cereal, yoghurts, fruit, meat and pastries on the 'help yourself' table.
The staff were cheerful and obliging.
Our one night stay was not only enjoyable but extremely good value for money and we would love to return.

A group of six of us had a lovely opportunity to meet up at the Corse Lawn House Hotel. We were informed that the hotel had been recently taken over and they are in the process of upgrading/redecorating all the rooms. The public areas had already been done and were lovely. The bedrooms large with very comfortable beds, a coffee machine, hairdryer, bottled water and biscuits.
