More Reasons to Go
- The AA describes Beechwood as a "charming hotel with a friendly atmosphere". The hotel's restaurant has been awarded two AA Rosettes for culinary excellence.
- The house has close ties to Agatha Christie. The famous novelist often stayed here and spent many hours writing in the summerhouse. In tribute, the hotel's public areas are decorated in an art-deco style. Letters written by Christie are also on display for guests to read.
- Broads National Park is around 30 minutes' drive away. It is Britain's largest protected wetland, encompassing more than 60 open areas of water and seven rivers. Boating is a popular pastime, but there are lots of walking and cycling routes too.
- The coastal towns of Sheringham and Cromer are within 25 minutes' drive. Wander along Cromer's long sandy beach and go crabbing on the pier. Or potter around Sheringham's colourful beach huts, charming tea rooms, and independent cafes.
- Norwich is around 30 minutes' drive away. Discover the city's magnificent cathedral, impressive Norman castle, and thriving markets.

We met our friends and headed off to the Beechwood Hotel, where we were greeted very warmly. Our 7 course meal was exceptional and the staff were very tentative so all our needs were met extremely well. Breakfast was great but we had so much to eat the night before we really couldn’t do the meal justice!

We had a very enjoyable stay at the Beechwood hotel. The staff are so friendly and helpful,. We booked a spa room as we had our dog with us. The room and bathroom iare very spacious. Lovely bathroom toiletries, fluffy towels and bathrobes. We also enjoyed the sauna and hot tub .
We chose to have the taster menu which was delicious as was the breakfast where there was a great choice on the menu.
Just to note that if you do bring your dog and want to take your dog to dine with you, you are dining in a separate room to the main dining room. However this was of no concern to us.

Lovely hotel and incredible food . There was a mix up with the time of our Taster Menu and the staff and the chef were fantastic in sorting this out for us as it was a special occasion. Only exception was the Restaurant manager who we thought should have handled the situation better . We accept they were very busy but really no excuse.

Worth going there for the food alone - the chef and his staff are exceptionable.
