We are having a great time in Suffolk the staff have worked hard to keep a very busy hotel enjoyable for all their guests and visitors. The weather has been great nothing like the weather forecast earlier in the week.

The reception staff were efficient and friendly.

The dog friendly room was so small there was no space to put the med sized dog bed on the floor. We had to ask reception if there was a larger room available. Luckily the very friendly and efficient receptionist found us a larger room in the cottage. The entrance to the cottage was surrounded by builder's rubble and the stair carpet was dirty. The shower was unusable it only had a trickle of water. The restaurant was not dog friendly and we had to eat in the bar area. You could not book a table in the bar and the service was unacceptable. We had a long wait on our first evening before we could order and then another wait for the food. We chose to eat somewhere else on our second night.

There was a large coach party in at the time which made breakfast and dinner not quite as comfortable but the staff were helpful and friendly.

Overall a great time. Ideal for dog owners as there are a multitude of walks all around and also a good base for exploring Suffolk area Breakfast could be a bit chaotic, especially the day the electricity went off Evening meals were good with a good mix on the menu Our roo was a little bit tired, and we had to ask for some things to be put right, which should have been seen to before handing the room over, cleaning being one issue
