More Reasons to Go

  • Mortons Manor is a "building with a real story to tell", says The AA. It was built in 1590 at the base of Corfe Castle. Queen Elizabeth stayed there, and it was reputedly built in an "E" shape in her honour.
  • The property is full of period features, including mullioned windows, grand fireplaces, and wood panelling.
  • The hotel holds three Silver Stars from The AA. These are awarded to hotels offering superior levels of quality and service. Its restaurant holds two AA Rosettes—the offer includes £45 credit per person towards dinner.
  • You can visit Corfe Castle to learn its important role in the English Civil War. The castle ruins are open year-round and offer impressive views across Purbeck.
  • Studland Bay and Swanage are less than 15 minutes' drive away. The Jurassic Coast is one of the UK’s best places for fossil hunting.

We loved it and were upgraded to a better room. Sadly we were unable to open the windows but fans were provided. Our only issue was the pillows which were not comfortable

A beautiful building, full of character and well maintained. Although it is close to quite a busy main road, the hotel is very quiet. All of the staff across the board were friendly and helpful. The bedrooms were spotless and all of meals were very well presented.
