More Reasons to Go
- Mortons Manor is a "building with a real story to tell," says The AA. It was built in 1590 at the base of Corfe Castle. Queen Elizabeth stayed there, and it was reputedly built in an "E" shape in her honour.
- The property is full of period features, including mullioned windows, grand fireplaces, and wood panelling.
- The hotel holds three Silver Stars from The AA. These are awarded to hotels offering superior levels of quality and service. Its restaurant holds two AA Rosettes—the offer includes £45 credit per person towards dinner.
- You can visit Corfe Castle to learn its important role in the English Civil War. The castle ruins are open year-round and offer impressive views across Purbeck.
- Studland Bay and Swanage are less than 15 minutes' drive away. The Jurassic Coast is one of the UK’s best places for fossil hunting

This is our second visit to Mortons Manor, the staff are friendly and helpful, the food is fantastic. We love the wood panelled lounge with the roaring open fire, it's a warm, cosy and sociable room to sit in!

Absolutely sensational in every way. The ambience of an Elizabethan Manor together with every modern comfort. Outstanding food - why haven’t they got a Michelin star?? -and excellent staff in every department. Location right in the middle of Corfe so no car needed to explore the medieval castle and village or go on the steam train to Swanage. It is also handy for the South West Coast Path and Dinosaur country! Can’t recommend highly enough- a very special place to stay. Thank you.

Loved everything about this hotel - excellent service from all the staff, the room was extremely comfortable and spotlessly clean, with plenty of toiletries and coffee/tea making supplies. The food was delicious and very well presented and there were plenty of comfy sofas to relax on.
