More Reasons to Go
- Mortons Manor is a "building with a real story to tell", says The AA. It was built in 1590 at the base of Corfe Castle. Queen Elizabeth stayed there, and it was reputedly built in an "E" shape in her honour.
- The property is full of period features, including mullioned windows, grand fireplaces, and wood panelling.
- As well as two Rosettes, the hotel holds three Silver Stars from The AA. These are awarded to hotels offering superior levels of quality and service.
- You can visit Corfe Castle to learn its important role in the English Civil War. The castle ruins are open year-round and offer impressive views across Purbeck.
- Studland Bay and Swanage are less than 15 minutes' drive away. The Jurassic Coast is one of the UK's best places for fossil hunting.
- Stuck for Christmas gift ideas? Give a dining, spa, activity, theatre, or hotel experience, and create a memory.

Excellent service from all staff. Beautiful property very tastefully decorated. Very comfy bed. Everything taken care of and nothing too much trouble. Quiet and calm. Food a bit pricy but otherwise excellent

If they offered a set menu at dinner this would bring the price down and would have dined in rather than eating out if this had been the case

This was a surprise birthday present for my partner and it could not have been better. The staff were superb, the hotel was immaculate and the food was excellent. There was plenty of space in the dining room and other communal rooms. Car parking was easy as, again, there was plenty of space and charge points for electric cars.

The owners of this hotel have obviously thought about their guests and what would make a stay comfortable. It looks as though no expense has been spared. This is the very best 3* hotel I have ever stayed in.

Morton's Manor is a superbly managed privately owned hotel. All the staff have been really helpful. They provided a truly accessible high quality room. The breakfast service was excellent and dinner is a real treat. We had stayed circa 20 years ago and the hotel is even better now.
