More Reasons to Go
- Mill End is housed in a 15th-century flour mill and features a restored 18-foot waterwheel. Original features include stone fireplaces and wooden beams.
- The hotel is nestled in the rolling hills of Dartmoor National Park. Set by the River Teign, it has "epic gorge walks" on its doorstep (The Daily Telegraph). Lots of countryside trails branch off from the nearby Two Moors Way. Maps and guidebooks are available from the hotel's reception desk.
- After a day exploring Dartmoor, you can relax in front of a cosy open fire. Cream teas are available in the restaurant or one of the hotel lounges.
- The restaurant holds two AA Rosettes. Fresh fish from the Cornish coast and locally reared Devon beef feature on the menu. Herbs are harvested from the hotel's gardens. Bread and pastries are baked in house daily.
- Becky Falls and Lydford Gorge are within 30 minutes' drive of the hotel. The former has been attracting visitors since 1903. The latter is the deepest gorge in the Southwest.
