Why We Love This Deal

Picturesque Brixham in Devon is still a working fishing port, with fresh fish and seafood available in the local restaurants or from waterside stalls. Looking down on this idyllic setting is the Harbour View guesthouse, which occupies the former harbour master's cottage. Overnight stays this spring or summer are £99, exclusively for Travelzoo members.

What's Included

  • Valid Sunday-Thursday until 31 July, 2024. Fridays and Saturdays are an extra £20 per night (payable direct to the hotel)
  • Overnight accommodation in an Inland Double Room, with full English breakfast, for two
  • Two-night stays with daily breakfast are £169 in May and £199 in June-July
  • Stay three nights for £199 in May or £279 in June-July
  • Sea-View Double Rooms are an extra £25 per night (payable direct to the hotel)

More Reasons to Go

  • The property was once the harbour master's house. You can wander around the port to admire the colourful boats bobbing in the harbour, or hit the traditional amusement arcades and try your luck on the 2p machines.

  • The South West Coast Path passes right by the front door of the Harbour View—it's a 25-minute walk along the path to Berry Head Nature Reserve and Lighthouse.
  • The Golden Hind Museum is five minutes' walk away. A trip to the full-sized replica of Sir Francis Drake's 16th-century ship makes for a fascinating dive into Tudor maritime history.
  • Admire a different view of the harbour and town with a walk along the Brixham Breakwater, which stretches for half a mile offshore. You'll find it 10 minutes' walk from the hotel.
  • Take a trip to the former holiday home of Agatha Christie—Greenway House, a National Trust property, is under 20 minutes' drive away.
  • You can also follow the Agatha Christie Literary Trail in Torquay, around 25 minutes' drive away, or head to Paignton, known for its Victorian pier and sandy beaches

One of the best Travelzoo deals we have had. Cannot recommend Harbour View highly enough. Nothing was too much trouble for Barry, very dog friendly (as majority of pubs and restaurants in Brixham seem to be), super breakfast, lovely accommodation.
Other Comments
Great location overlooking harbour and quay, couple of minutes into town centre, five minutes to bus station (downhill, longer coming back!).

Staff were lovely and breakfast really good. Room was very small and on 3rd floor which wasn't good for my knees haha but all in all a lovely stay in a beautiful town!

Room 7 not appropriate for older person with lung issues and luggage. Room very small but attractive with lovely view. Staff very friendly and helpful. In winter months excellent to have access to Netflix.

Had a lovely time! Clean, quirky room overlooking harbour, pristine linens on bed, gorgeous white fluffy towels! Barry was helpful and friendly. Enjoyed the full english breakfast. Intend to revisit when it's holiday season.

A compact building. The stairs are very steep and narrow and winding. No warning of this! We had a room at the back (only option for a twin), barely room to move and the bathroom cramped and poorly ventilated
Other Comments
Great location, good views from the front. Breakfast very average. Pleasant staff
