A multitude of scenic walking routes and pretty villages are on offer in the Peak District. Chatsworth House is around 30 minutes' drive away, while Bakewell is 35 minutes away.
Eyam, the Peak District's famous "plague village", is half an hour's drive. Its museum tells how the village isolated itself to prevent the spread of plague in 1665.
Sheffield is a 20-minute drive away. It's known for its food scene and vibrant nightlife. It's also home to a choice of galleries and museums.

Our second time at this wonderful pub. It’s halfway between us and our friends so offers incredible value and a great place for us to get together for a catch-up. We can’t speak highly enough of the staff who are so friendly and can’t do enough for you. Our evening meals and breakfast were also really good and the rooms were of a really high standard. Thanks also to John for the bottle of wine and up the owls! Look forward to seeing you and all the team in the future!

From the moment we walked in the door to leaving it was beyond perfect. Rooms atmosphere food extras staff exceptional.

Rooms had TV sealed bottles of water and Alexa.
Air conditioning great heating hairdryers. Every coffee and tea with biscuits. Fridge to keep things cold.
Toiletries and towels fluffy pure white that dry you properly.
A little bit of pure luxury for a fantastic price.

Had a warm welcome, a lovely view of Chesterfield from our bedroom window, and a lovely fresh clean bathroom. The bed was so comfy we did oversleep. Our dinner and breakfast were delicious, hot and served with a smile.

What a gem of a pub/hotel/restuarant. The room was excellent, well furnished with lots of nice little touches, the staff were all so friendly and helpful and the food in the restaurant was of a very high standard. We loved every minute of our stay and will definitely stay there again the next time we visit the Peak District.

When a lot of hotels are just offering self service buffet breakfasts it was really refreshing to stay somewhere that offered freshly cooked to order breakfasts. The scrambled egg was some of the best I've ever tasted.

Lovely room, very clean and spacious. Food was excellent at both evening meal and breakfast. It felt like it was mainly a restaurant rather than a pub too, but as it got quieter in an evening we were able to sit at a table just for a drink.

The overnight stay was for a birthday celebration which was an ideal location for us. We stayed in the Robin of Loxley suite which was the only room available and being the most expensive, was an amazing experience. The food on offer was top drawer and a nice touch you could see it being prepared from your table.
