More Reasons to Go
Dating back to the 19th century, the cosy 10-room inn is popular with walkers. The surrounding valley is home to the historic Slater's Bridge, the dramatic Cathedral Quarry, and serene lakeside paths and waterfalls.
Dine on classic pub favourites at the inn. A selection of ales is on offer in the bar that can be sampled by the roaring fire in the colder months.
The inn was named after the Three Shire Stone at the summit of the Wynrose Pass. It marks the spot where the boundaries of the historic counties of Cumberland, Westmorland, and Lancaster met.
The property is owned and operated by Lanty Slee Liquor Co., named after a notorious moonshiner. The company creates small-batch spirits using local water and botanicals.
