We booked a garden room which was excellent. The room was kept at a good temperature and the bed/bedding/towels, very good

We had our dinner in the hotel, thoroughly recommend. Breakfast ordered next morning was fresh kippers and a full English. Both were excellent

Hotel and staff were excellent. Not the greatest spa but ok. Food was excellent. Bistro menu and a la carte served in the same restaurant. Bistro was good and reasonably priced. Only the weather let them down, but it was February.

The evening meals were delicious, beautifully presented and a treat. Breakfast had a sufficient buffet choice and cooked food menu. Both morning cooked breakfasts were hot, delicious and well cooked. I would recommend the poached eggs.

The staff were very helpful and polite without being obtrusive.

Booked a deluxe double room … yet the bed was 2 x singles pushed together. As a resident guest you were not given complimentary slippers and only a hand towel to use in the spa area … yet if you were a guest only fir spa facilities you were given slippers and a bath towel… 2 x different standards, felt like being treated differently and hand towels did not provide suitable relaxation fir an individual navigating from one spa area to another to preserve one’s dignity … did not find the spa or hotel sleeping accommodation provided the TOTAL RELAXATION which the hotel websites promoting… very disappointing as we had travel 6 hours to get there .

Nice countryside setting. The food is good. I don't agree with having to pay extra for the spa area. (Especially if you have paid full price) If you are a guest of the hotel you should get free access .
Other Comments
The rooms are a little dated (especially the bathrooms) but still comfortable.
