- Diaspora Calling! features Ms. Lauryn Hill, Wyclef Jean, YG Marley, Erykah Badu, and Zion Marley. The festival is hosted by stand-up comedian Dave Chapelle.
- Ms. Lauryn Hill conceived the idea of the festival in 2016 to honour African diaspora. It is currently her only confirmed UK performance this year.
- Originally part of the Fugees alongside fellow headliner Wyclef Jean, Ms. Lauryn Hill went on to have a hugely successful solo career. Her debut album "The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill" won five Grammy Awards.
- It was also the first hip-hop album ever to win Album of the Year, with iconic tunes such as "Doo Wop (That Thing)" and "Ex-Factor".
- As well as a his solo singing career, Wyclef Jean is also a songwriter and record producer. He has co-written hits for some of the biggest stars in the world, won three Grammy Awards, and been nominated for a Golden Globe.
- Some of his best known songs include "Gone till November", as well as a feature on Shakira's "Hips Don't Lie".
- Also on stage will be Erykah Badu ("Tyrone") and YG Marley ("Praise Jah in the Moonlight"), amongst others.
- As well as a day of music, there will be a wide range of food traders on site.
