Had a lovely few hours looking around this beautifully decorated and well maintained house and learning about its different inhabitants. Had a break for tea and cake and sat outside on the terrace overlooking the wonderful garden in the sunshine. Walked it all off exploring the many different parts of the grounds including a couple of greenhouses with really unusual cacti and succulents. There are places to sit and relax and take in the tranquil surroundings Would definitely recommend.

The house is a good place for young people to see the way some houses were decorated and furnished for much of the 20th century; also to see evidence of the the wealth generated through innovative engineering and industry providing essentials for building and making countless things.

Very enjoyable day. The gardens were varied and beautiful and just the right size, not too big to become tiring to get round. There were plenty of benches if you needed a break. The house was interesting and well presented.
Other Comments
Some parts of the garden are not so easy to access, but only a small proportion. In the house there is a lift, if needed, to take you up to the other two floors.

A delightful day out. The house is a delight and it was great that you actually could get close to everything, not sectioned off by red rope barriers. We did the house first as the weather wasn't kind, had tea and cake in the tea room (again fabulous) and then a stroll around the grounds. Well worth a visit.
