Why We Love This Hotel

  • Liverpool's waterfront, a UNESCO World Heritage Site which includes the Royal Liver Building, is opposite the hotel
  • The Royal Albert Dock, home to Tate Liverpool and The Beatles Story museum, is less than 15 minutes' walk away
  • The hotel's bar and restaurant have views of the Mersey

Overview

The Mercure Liverpool Atlantic Tower Hotel is a 12-storey building in the city's bustling commercial district. Liverpool's waterfront, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is opposite, and includes the famous Royal Liver Building.

Some of Liverpool's most famous attractions are nearby. The Museum of Liverpool, rich with the city's fascinating past, is less than a 10-minute walk away, while The Royal Albert dock, which is home to Tate Liverpool -- renowned for its world-class contemporary art -- and the Merseyside Maritime Museum, are both less than 15 minutes' walk away. From there you can walk on to find The Beatles Story, a museum dedicated to the band, and The Wheel of Liverpool, a Ferris wheel that gives views of the Mersey is also in this area and there are plenty of places to eat and drink around there, too.

We've also negotiated entry for one to the Magical Beatles Museum for £10 on Mathew Street, close to the Cavern Club. It has over 400 pieces of band memorabilia.

At the hotel, you can sit and take in views of Liverpool's dynamic skyline with a drink at the Vue Bar and Terrace or grab a bite to eat at the hotel's Vista Restaurant.

All rooms have wall-mounted motifs of Liverpool attractions, and Superior rooms are larger than Standard rooms and have added toiletries.

Arrived a little early, able to leave bags at reception and go out and enjoy the city on our doorstep. Superior (priviledge) had plenty of space with lots of windows offering view of river. Ideally located.

Good location, friendly helpful staff and good breakfast. For the money paid it was a great to have a superior room with a super view of the cruise ships and ferry.
Other Comments
The only disappointment was the towels. They were thin and one of the bath towels smelt dirty and the hand towels smelt of vinegar! The receptionist was fantastic and arranged for us to have fresh towels however, they still smelt of vinegar! If this could be sorted it would make the place brilliant!
