Why We Love This Hotel

  • You can take in views of Liverpool's dynamic skyline and the Mersey. The hotel's bar and terrace and restaurant both have impressive waterfront views.
  • All rooms have wall-mounted motifs of Liverpool attractions. Superior rooms are larger than Standard rooms and have added toiletries.
  • Liverpool's waterfront is a 2-minute stroll from the hotel. You'll see the Royal Liver Building, one of the iconic "Three Graces" that overlook the Mersey.
  • Royal Albert Dock—for a host of dining options—is 15 minutes' walk away.
  • There are a host of other attractions within 15 minutes' walk, too. Tate Liverpool is currently housed at Mann Island on the waterfront by the Liver Building. The Wheel of Liverpool, the Museum of Liverpool, and the World Museum are nearby too.
  • The Cavern Club, where The Beatles played many of their early gigs, is less than 10 minutes away. Fab Four fans can also check out The Beatles Story museum at the Royal Albert Dock.

We stayed 3 nights in the Atlantic Tower Hotel. The views over the waterfront from our rooms were amazing. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The position of the hotel is great for visiting the water front and the town. We were able to walk easily to all the venues we wanted to see, including the Cavern. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was OK, and set us up for a day of sightseeing. Loads of places to eat nearby.

Finding the car park isn't easy, but go into the hotel and speak to reception and they will tell you exactly where it is. Make sure to return to reception and book you car in and pay the fee to avoid any fine.

Having read some of the reviews my expectations weren't high, however my stay was perfectly fine. Greated on arrival with complimentary prosecco so always a bonus! Check in was easy, member of staff was helpful but noticeably not as friendly as other staff I interacted with. Absolutely amazing room view. Room was clean but dusty in odd places like on the soap and handcream bottles in the bathroom. Bed was comfy. Agree with another review that the room smelt musty on arrival but a blast of the Aircon soon put that right. Aircon worked well and was no noisier than anywhere else I've stayed. Walls were thin as mentioned elsewhere this didn't disturb us but could hear conversations quite clearly! Breakfast room was spacious with good views and staff were really friendly. 'Hot' food was lukewarm as per normal with buffet breakfast anywhere. Liked that it was in reasonably small dishes so was replaced frequently. Coffee was good. I'm not convinced the bread advertised as sourdough actually was. More like a normal unsliced loaf but it was nice! Overall a good experience, definitely worth the Travelzoo price and I would definitely stay again.
