Why We Love This Hotel

  • Swinton Park Hotel is an impressive castellated stately home in the North Yorkshire countryside. It's part of Swinton Estate—20,000 acres of lake-dotted woodland and parkland with free-roaming fallow deer. According to The AA, it exudes "luxury and extravagance".
  • You'll have unlimited access to the hotel's 5-bubble, Good Spa Guide Award-winning spa. It has an aromatic thermal suite, an indoor pool, a hydrotherapy pool, and relaxation rooms. Outdoors, there is a spa garden, woodland wellness areas, and a lake for wild swimming.
  • Dining options include the 2-AA-Rosette Samuel's. Produce comes from the 4-acre walled kitchen garden. The more casual Rosette-awarded Terrace serves a globally inspired small-plates menu. The Chef's Table, located in the estate's cookery school, provides an intimate fine-dining experience for up to 12 people.*
  • Opulent and spacious Barons Rooms are located on the first and second floors of the historic castle or more contemporary Coach House. Each room comes with robes, slippers, and a Nespresso machine.
  • The hotel provides a daily-changing programme of guest activities. These include wine tasting, woodland and garden walks, history tours, and meditation.
  • The estate sits in the Nidderdale National Landscape, near the honeystone town of Masham. The Yorkshire Dales National Park is also on the doorstep.

*Chef's Table is not available during September.
