Why We Love This Hotel
- The Crown Hotel dates from the 18th century and is one of the oldest in Harrogate. It's situated in the fashionable and boutique-laden Montpellier Quarter.
- The property "occupies an excellent location, mere moments away from some of the beautiful spa town's most popular sites" (Country Living Magazine). The Royal Pump Room Museum, Turkish Baths, and Valley Gardens are all next to the hotel. Harrogate's famous Bettys Café Tea Rooms is a 5-minute walk away.
- The boundaries of the Yorkshire Dales National Park are less than 20 minutes' drive from the hotel.
- Famous guests include the composer Sir Edward Elgar and poet Lord Byron, who penned "To A Beautiful Quaker" after being inspired by a local woman passing the hotel. Ralph Fiennes also visited when the hotel was used as filming location for The Choral.
