Why We Love This Hotel
- Each of the electricity-free yurts is fitted with plush bed linens, robes, and towels, with an adjoining private toilet. A shower block is a short walk away and guests also get access to shared facilities—a stocked camping kitchen, a barbeque, a hot tub, and a lounge with complimentary tea, coffee, and electric charging points.
- Yurt Cabins have an adjoining wooden cabin. The Loft is on the first floor of a converted farmhouse and has an ensuite shower. Rustic Tree Lodges come with a private hot tub.
- The historic Swinton Estate is spread across 20,000 acres. It encompasses a hotel within a Grade II-listed castle, an award-winning spa, and a cookery school.
- Participate in a range of country pursuits at the estate, such as fishing, clay pigeon shooting, and rambles in the deer-filled grounds. Other activities on the estate include yoga and pilates classes, children's cooking sessions, sound baths, and picnics (fees apply and reservations required).
- The woods at Swinton Bivouac contain the Druid’s Temple, a 19th-century folly dubbed the Stonehenge of Yorkshire.
- The property is within the Nidderdale National Landscape in the Yorkshire Dales, with some of the most beautiful countryside Yorkshire has to offer. It's less than 15 minutes' drive from the market town of Masham.
