The outside of the building was really quite impressive.
It would be even better if it was painted in white, green or blue. The reception area was spacious, modern and welcoming. The bedrooms were a really good size to move around in. There was plenty of storage space for clothes. The king size bed was a real bonus. Plenty of room and really comfortable. We had a fifth floor side sea view room (505). Because of the way the building was made, from our balcony we got a pretty good view over the sea and to the south west of Eastbourne. The tea & coffee were good. We could have done with a few more biscuits, please! Breakfast time 7 to10 gave us plenty of time. There was quite a wide range of breakfast food. It was all really appealing & tasty, especially the Full English. I really enjoyed the lovely, creamy scrambled eggs & good well cooked hash browns. I was a little disappointed that the tomatoes were not cooked, but over all really good. 9 out of 10. All the staff that we spoke to were smiley, friendly, polite & helpful. It was a really nice place to stay.

We had a nice stay , but we found that the main restaurant suffered a lack of atmosphere when we went to have a meal in it on our first night of our stay, so we went downstairs and just had a drink & meal in the vista bar, good breakfasts on our two mornings that we stayed , lovely view from our balcony , all in all we have a lovely time at the View Hotel Eastbourne

View Hotel is in a great location and has prime spot for accessing the beach as well as nearby attractions. The views from the room are great and lovely to wake up to the sea view.

There are some things that could be tweaked to make it even better and justify the normally high prices.

better quality of bedding - the pillows were a bit lumpy and old, duvet could be better quality.

The mats in the gym were very old and there was no sanitizer wipes to wipe down equipment

we had basic double room on the offer which had included bottle of white wine. This was served in a chiller pot but by the time we arrived in our room the wine was room temperature. No fridge in room to use, so the wine was not particularly drinkable. Pleasant room but outlook at back of building was rather poor. Curtains in room needed attention.

We came for a couple of nights for our anniversary. The staff were very polite and efficient. The room was a balcony sea view on the 2nd floor which was perfect for us. Very very comfortable with a bath in the bathroom which you don't always get these days. Breakfast was plentiful and a great full choice. Warmly welcomed at Reception. Having paid a little extra for a `sea view', was treated (in our mind) to one of the best (corner) rooms in the house for which we were extremely grateful. The room was exceptionally clean, wonderful shower, lashings of hot water and lovely toiletries for use. The bed was equally big & comfy as could be. Breakfast was varied and more than adequate with pleasant, friendly staff and at no time made us feel hurried to leave. Lovely Cafe/Bar area again, with superb beach view. To end, a fantastic location for walking the promenade and within easy reach of everything Eastbourne has to offer. I'd like to think we will stay again but this visit will be hard to beat!

I was rather shocked when I went to the counter to get the cooked part of my breakfast at 9.25 (the eggs and bacon had run out) and upon asking for some was told they wouldn’t be cooking any more as breakfast closes at 9.30am. I had to point out that it was still BEFORE 9.30 that she went to cook me a portion (I didn’t bother to ask for bacon too).

Great location, room was nice with comfy bed and seafront view. The main gripes were two of the restaurants were closed so only the conference suite was being used as a bar/snack area. Lacked any charm or atmosphere. The ladies toilets were locked so had to go back to my room on 5th floor to use facilities. Breakfast was good and staff were polite and helpful. Overall pleased with our stay for the price paid.

Very nice size room, very clean. Our view and balcony was amazing and such good value. The breakfast was exceptional good, with such friendly and efficient staff.

Very interesting social history.
I do think there should be a dress code for breakfast as there seemed to be someone there in his boxer shorts, not very nice.

Very good stay here and nothing to complain about. Hotel is very clean and well maintained, right on the sea front and 7-8 mins walk to town centre. Some nice restaurants on nearby side road. Would happily stay here again.

It is just standard, slightly dated but perfectly acceptable hotel.

I could not stay the second night.
This was due to sleeping ( on a night of high wind) with my neck directly in a draft. I only found thus out on waking at about 5am.
By the time I took my breakfast, my neck was stiff and I told reception of the proble.( the seals around the door had failed)
I was attending a play in the early afternoon, during which I could hardly move my neck.
I returned to the hotel and booked out. Leaving my number for the
Manager to call me on Friday.

The only thing this time of year is there are festive parties going on and restaurant not open. Disco goes on until midnight, we had ear plugs fortunately!

The hotel was easy to find and we were pleased to find that our room was spacious, clean and had a side sea view - not expected. We booked through a third party and got great value too. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly.

The hotel advertises deals through their web site as well as at the hotel. The parking is on the sea front opposite the hotel and very reasonable.
The breakfast was freshly prepared and a lot of choice and the bar is well stocked.

As always, our experience gained over many years, the View has everything. A prime position close to the town , theatres and is on the sea front . It has very high standards of service, attentive staff, excellent with wide choice of food at breakfast served in a relaxed comfortable environment. Bedrooms are always warm and clean with everything, including tea and coffee facilities to hand. The bed so comfortable it’s hard to get up and leave in the morning! Through many years we have never had a complaint and always look forward to our return
and clean comfortable.

Great location right on the sea front. Request a room with balcony. Lovely lookout. All staff are polite, helpful and courteous. Parking vouchers can be purchased at reception and there are lots of parking bays, it’s cheap too. Breakfast was good.

The beds are firm but we ask for a topper and it done the job. The room was a front sea view as we upgraded was nice but it is looking a little bit tired but very clean and tried the Restaurant that was ok would I stay again yes I would it is few little places round the to eat.
