"Very friendly staff at reception and in restaurant. Lovely atmosphere throughout. Nicely decorated and very clean . We thought that the lunch menu was limited and rather expensive although tasty. Our room was on 2nd floor and had a sea view. Everything that you needed was there, even a coffee machine but decaf pods weren't available. Shower cubicle needed attention to mould on some grouting and the doors needed adjusting as they didn't close properly. The room was lovely and warm too and everything seemed new or nearly new. A really lovely place to stay"
The property is made up of a row of Grade II-listed Victorian townhouses on the East Parade of Llandudno Promenade. The hotel has views across Llandudno Bay and is 15 minutes' walk from the Victorian pier.
Llandudno is packed with restaurants and tea rooms, and is also home to Venue Cymru, which hosts a variety of theatre shows, concerts, exhibitions, and workshops.
Towering over the town is the Great Orme. This prominent limestone headland is a designated Special Area of Conservation, Site of Special Scientific Interest, and Heritage Coast. On a clear day, you can take in great views of Snowdonia.
The historic town of Conwy, complete with its medieval castle — a UNESCO World Heritage Site — is around 15 minutes' drive away. You can also walk a circuit of its town walls and admire the River Conwy estuary.
Betws-y-Coed, the gateway to Snowdonia National Park, is less than 40 minutes by car from the hotel.

It is quite a walk to the town but a nice one along the prom or you can get a bus ride not far away . The only thing that we didn’t like was that we could hear dogs wimping near our bedroom . I think they should be separated from the other guests they have a different restaurant for them and owners but not far away enough .

there was a complete misunderstanding with the booking but the manager did honour it , we booked 2 nights and expected the prosecco on arrival as well as 2 glasses of fizz with the evening meal but you don’t get both apparantly which was not made clear on travelzoo website .apart from this our stay was lovely and room perfect with the little additions made it worth while .food mainly was good but bacon at breakfast was hard like leather as though it had been under a hot plate for ages.

staff were all lovely as always , lift takes forever but even longer if cleaners put a block in the way of it moving which if you’ve got health issues using the stairs become a major problem .

Excellent experience. Staff soooo helpful. Room was very modern and décor looked as though been recently updated. Toiletries were very good even down to the shortbread biscuits. Hotel its self, the décor was beautiful and inviting plus very clean. Will be staying again and recommend to other people. Parking outside on the street.

We were VERY pleased with all aspects of our stay at Llandudno Bay Hotel.
We upgraded our room to a Bay View and took our Dog (Ted) with us, the contact and upgrade process with the Hotel was easy, informative, helpful and friendly.
We really enjoyed our stay and the pleasant, helpful informal but efficient atmosphere created by all the staff within the Hotel.
We have recommended The Bay Hotel to some of our friends and may well book another visit next year at some point if a 'good deal' is available.

We really enjoyed the large window sea view from a very tastefully decorated and furnished double. Comfortable bed and a warm room, even during a storm outside! The staff are very efficient and friendly, they make a real effort to look after guests in the resturant. Good breakfast. Some people are negative about the small bathrooms, it is small, but newly fitted and spotlessly clean. We plan to return.

The staff were enthusiastic, professional and very pleasant. The ambience was really good and relaxing. The sea view bedroom itself was good. The bathroom, however, was only just about functional from a size perspective. If staying for more than 1 night would have sought an upgrade. Breakfast was very good, evening meal thai curries for both of us were not what would expect a thai curry to be.

A warm friendly welcome. The room was ready on arrival complete with a bottle of prosecco in ice bucket with two flute glasses. The room was modern, large, with seating in the bay window overlooking a sea view. Five stars for the room and associated facilities. After a great nights sleep we thoroughly enjoyed a full welsh breakfast. Great service throughout.

We feel the one thing that let the hotel down is the repeated menu choice for evening meal. I think if we came again we would just have breakfast with you. Very limited choice of oversweet desserts. Most
surprised that in Wales, famous for of it's cheeses, surely cheese and biscuits (cheeseboard) should have been one option on your dessert menu. Otherwise everything perfect.

The outstanding and most memorable part of the stay was the quality of staff who were, without exception, efficient, helpful, friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. I would recommend the hotel on this basis alone but the other features make it stand out compared with recent stays elsewhere.

would you expect a deluxe room with sea view have a bathroom that you could not swing a cat in. The toilet was so small and tucked away in a corner so small it was ridiculous. The space in the room was dreadful. Besides this we had dinner on the first night and the food was so poor - my prawns were rancid. As we were ill anyway this just topped it off.

The Hotel itself is very nicely decorated and situated right on the prom however a good 20/25 minutes walk to the pier with beautiful views. The bedroom again was lovely however the bathroom is not fit for purpose as the toilet was in a position where you couldn’t even sit on it properly and it was a struggle also to close the bathroom door. Anyone bigger than ourselves and we are average sized people, would not have been able to use it.
We didn’t let this spoil our stay however and enjoyed the breakfast (although not ‘Welsh’ as described)
The staff were lovely and I would stay again as long as I was able to request a normal sized bathroom.

The feel of ambience hits you when you walk into reception. The room was nice but the 4 steps down to the bathroom and toilet were freezing cold so I didn’t have a shower because of that. Gave a feeling of being in a gable end room. Unfortunately I forgot about the steps down from the bedroom to the bathroom when I got up in the night I injured my finger twisted my ankle and bashed my head on the wall full weight, this left me with a severe headache nausea and concussion I had to go home vomiting and almost went to A&E severe head pain in the night but felt abit better this morning.
