"Friendly welcome by Sarah. Lovely, quiet room. Very good beverage facilities. Delightful 3-course dinner, served by very friendly and helpful Clare. Lovely idea to give us a complimentary drinks voucher as we didn't need housekeeping - we enjoyed a delicious Baileys with it! Very friendly staff at the spa, too."

Very nice swimming pool and outdoor jacuzzi.

I am sorry to say that the scrambled egg at breakfast was not very nice at all. It looked and tasted like powdered egg. Other than that, everything was fine. The grounds are spectacular!

Service at the hotel was very good in the restaurant and bar.. Room was ok,bathroom not cleaned properly, radiator dirty and dirt around the bathroom door. Communication with the hotel extremely bad. Twice they said they would get back to me but ne er recieved a reply. Website says you except blue light card but it actually doesn't. Apparently its optional for the hotel and this hotel doesn't except it. Disgraceful in my opinion.

Myself and my friend had a lovely 2 days in Stratford. The hotel itself is in a lovely location. The room was very large but uncomfortably hot as we were in te eaves of the hotel. The curtain were hanging from the ceiling and looked as if they had been eaten by mice. \we couldn't open the windows properly and if we could have they were so old & dirty that they may have fallen out. Our carpet was extremely soiled.

The restaurant food was excellent, however this was let down by not enough front of house staff. We had to ask for a table to be cleaned, cutlery, cups and even ask the staff to replenish breakfast food, as they kept running out. We had to ask for our starters, as we waited 45 mins, to then be informed that the kitchen had forgotten our order. The spa itself was nice but not enough lounge seats to sit on, we had to stand when not using the facilites.

The breakfasts weren't to the same standard as everything else, we thought: I waited for at least 10 minutes for some scrambled eggs and mushrooms on the first morning; on our second morning, there was no fruit ,no glasses for juice, and no cheese. Obviously, we had other food to eat, but it wasn't quite what we expected.

We had a very relaxing mini break at the Welcombe hotel which is in a superb rural location just outside of Stratford on Avon. We enjoyed a good quality evening meal on the first night and two lovely breakfasts during our stay. We also made use of their nice spa and pool . Our room was fine on the lower ground floor and we slept well in a very comfortable King Size bed.

The bedroom and ensuite while generally fine , does look a little dated and probably needs upgrading.

Hotel was very traditional in appearance but very warm throughout our rainy, windy visit. Rooms were huge but a bit tired and in need of a little TLC but nothing that I would bother complaining about. In contrast, the spa was very modern and well equipped. Staff were all very pleasant throughout our stay. Breakfast was hot, nicely cooked and plentiful, with options for vegan or light eating. We had a very nice evening meal included on our first day. I had Rib eye steak which was very nice but had a £15 supplement, which we thought was a little steep but husband had the pork belly which was part of the inclusive meal offer. Both very nice. The hotel is only 1.7 miles outside Stratford and, had the weather been better, we would have walked in but we called a taxi, which came very quickly and was just under £8 for 4 of us. We had a really pleasant stay and would definitely stay there again.
