You can now save 37% on the regular cost of a dinner, bed and breakfast stay at the centrally located Hotel Indigo Newcastle. Now £119, this deal includes:

  • Accommodation in a King Executive Room, with full English breakfast, for two

  • A 3-course set-menu dinner (worth £30 per person) or £25 credit per person (valid for food only) at the hotel's Marco Pierre White Steakhouse

Why We Love It

  • This boutique hotel is within walking distance of St James' Park and Grainger Market
  • There is a Marco Pierre White Steakhouse on site
  • Quayside, Sage Gateshead and the BALTIC Centre are around 20 minutes' walk away

With an enviable city-centre location, Hotel Indigo Newcastle is a modern property in Grainger Town, heavily influenced by the surrounding Neoclassical buildings.

The hotel is less than five minutes' walk from Newcastle railway station and Grainger Market, a Grade I-listed covered market that was the largest in Europe when it was built. Sage Gateshead, one of Newcastle's premier concert destinations, and the BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art are around 20 minutes' walk away on the Quayside.

Newcastle Castle, the medieval fortification that gave the city its name, is 10 minutes away on foot; head to the roof for great views of the River Tyne. Quayside, an area with popular bars and restaurants, is a 15-minute walk away.

We recommend a trip to Jesmond Dene, a steep-sided river valley in the north of the city. You can follow the Ouseburn as it flows south through the valley, stop for pictures by its waterfall and ruined water mill, and maybe spot a kingfisher or red squirrel along the way. Start your walk from the Castles Farm Road entrance -- around 20 minutes from the hotel by bus or Metro.

The hotel's on-site Marco Pierre White Steakhouse serves classic British dishes. There is also a cocktail bar. All rooms have a free mini bar and 24-hour room service, and there is a gym on site.

evening meal and breakfast delicious. We did express our appreciation with staff and asked for our comments to be conveyed to all staff. We do not recommend hotels as everyone has different expectations. We would stay here again.
Other Comments
We only had a double bed and it was a little soft. We would request a different standard should we book again. Personal choice, may suit others who stay.

Staff treated us as family, and nothing was too much trouble for them. From the moment we walked through the door, to check out, we felt so welcome. The choice of food and drink was fantastic, and although we made the staff aware that we had astrict budget, they treated us with warmth and respect. Probably the best hotel experience we have had in a very long time.

Service from staff!
Other Comments
Great customer service but in a really relaxed way and not a bit stuffy. Emma and Chloe in particular made our stay that bit more special.

The decor was beautiful. Very well designed and maintained. The room was lovely everything about it was perfect.
Other Comments
The food wasn’t great. While the senior members of waiting staff were fantastic and very good at their jobs Teo of the younger staff were rude and dismissive. The duck was over cooked and the bacon in the morning was burned to a crisp and inedible. Other than that the service was five star.
