Why We Love This Hotel
- Polurrian on the Lizard was originally built in 1890 as a railway hotel. Past guests include Winston Churchill, and Hollywood stars Clark Gable and Gene Tierney.
- The hotel boasts an exceptional clifftop location with uninterrupted coastal views over Mount's Bay. The hotel's Vista Lounge has floor-to-ceiling windows. It's the perfect spot for admiring the rugged scenery.
- The South West Coast Path is at the bottom of the hotel's manicured gardens. Strike out along this trail and explore the rugged coastline. The Lizard Peninsula served as a filming location for "Poldark". It's a must for keen hikers, with lots of pretty coves to discover.
- The Marconi Station World Heritage Site is 20 minutes' walk from the hotel. Along this route sits Polurrian Beach, a 5-minute walk from the hotel.
