Why We Love This Hotel
- Roomzzz Nottingham offers contemporary self-catering accommodation on the edge of the city centre.
- Smart Studios have a king-size bed, a sofa, and a workspace. They also each have a kitchenette with a microwave and a dishwasher. You can stock up on essentials in the shop in the lobby.
- Nottingham is steeped in legend and history; head to Nottingham Castle to learn about both. There are exhibitions on the city's history, lacemaking, and Robin Hood.
- Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem, one of England's oldest inns, is next to the castle. "Snuggle into a cosy corner," advises Time Out, "this pub is well worth a visit."
- The City of Caves is hidden beneath the streets, accessed via the National Justice Museum. They're around 10 minutes' walk from the property, and are open daily for tours.
- If you're inspired to follow in Robin Hood's footsteps, Sherwood Forest is an hour's drive away. You can visit the 1000-year-old Major Oak, where legend has it the Merry Men took shelter.
