On arrival in the dark at 8pm it was difficult to find Reception which wasn't very obvious.. On being told our room number,we then spent 20 minutes trying g to find our room number which were very confusing eventually a member of staff pointed us in the right direction.
We then went to eat in the Hathaway restaurant which was fine and the staff were excellent.Our roon was good with the exception of the robes which were missing. The next morning we were awoken by the laundry delivery lorry who left the outside and internal doors wide open and the icy draft was bitter. On going to breakfast we were seated and ordered possibly the best full English ever the food was nicely presented tasty and hot. On returning to Hathaways in the evening we were again well looked after by the staff, in particular Maya who was friendly helpful and very efficient. The following morning we were looking forward to our breakfast to find that the freshly cooked breakfast was off, and a buffet was the only option. which seemed strange as we were the only guests eating.
Can I add that all staff were very helpful and friendly even the laundry driver who closed the outside door the following morning.
My only complaint was that signage both outside and inside needs to be addressed. Even staff found it confusing.

We celebrated our Diamond Wedding Anniversary at the Hotel and on arrival we found our room had been decorated with a banner, balloons and card plus a decorated plate with cake and strawberries.
This was a lovely surprise!

Throughout our stay we noted that there was a great team spirit amongst all staff, who were without exception very friendly and helpful.

All good as usual. Staff lovely. Golf great. Only negative is that Hathaways menu needs to be a bit more varied and some basic sandwich offerings for lunch and a scone, jam & cream would make it perfect.

We spent an enjoyable weekend with friends at this venue. The staff were extremely helpful and breakfast was varied in its content. Nice rooms and quiet location. Impressive swimming pool and jacuzzi.

We were pleased that we had the dining credit as felt that without this discount we would have been extremely disappointed at the quality/quantity of food had we paid full price. The service however was excellent.
