Why We Love This Hotel

  • The property is set on a quiet lane amidst woodland and pretty gardens. Rooms all have scenic views, and Deluxe Garden Rooms have private outdoor hot tubs.
  • Breakfast is freshly cooked to order and served to you in your room. Produce is locally sourced, including sausage, bacon, and black pudding.
  • Grange-over-Sands is an elegant Victorian seaside resort in Cumbria. You can take a stroll on the promenade, which is 15 minutes' walk away. Or follow the path to Hampsfell Hospice. This hilltop shelter provides views of Helvellyn, the Langdales, and Morecambe Bay.
  • Head into the nearby Lake District National Park for a longer ramble. The villages of Lakeside and Newby Bridge at the southern tip of Windermere are both less than 15 minutes' drive.
  • Pretty Cartmel is a maze of lanes and bridges crossing a little river. This historic village is 10 minutes' drive away. You can visit the 900-year-old priory church at its centre.
  • You can find sandy beaches suitable for bathing and watersports nearby. One of the best is Roanhead beach, around 30 minutes' drive away.

Excellent stay - really nice facilities, breakfast served in rooms is very decadent and feels a bit special. Lots of nice little touches to make the stay special and a bit luxurious. Good location for walking, Grange over sands is nice but there are not that many pubs etc as we have found in other areas of the lakes. It does offer a good base for lots of short trips though. Only small improvment I would suggest is just give the reception staffing hours on the offer so we know to let you know if we are going to be later other than that a really great stay thankyou!
