Why We Love This Hotel
- Several landscape scenes in Guy Ritchie's "King Arthur: Legend of the Sword" were filmed in Eryri (Snowdonia National Park).
- The property is surrounded by 30 acres of private garden and woods. The ruins of the 13th-century Dolbadarn Castle lie within the grounds. The castle was built by Llywelyn the Great using local slate.
- Take in views of the lake when dining in the Padarn Restaurant. The lively Eryri Bar & Lounge serves pub favourites.
- Llanberis is a short stroll from the hotel. The trailhead of the circular walk around Lake Padarn is five minutes' drive away.
- The Anglesey National Landscape and Betws-y-Coed village are 30 minutes' drive away.
- Portmeirion is an Italian-style village that was the backdrop for the 1960s' cult classic series, The Prisoner. It is 50 minutes' drive from the hotel.

We booked our stay through a Travelzoo deal to coincide with my birthday. The stay at Royal Victoria Hotel was thoroughly enjoyable, staff were friendly and we couldn’t fault our experience the whole time we were there. Definitely worth the money and in future will look to returning using TravelZoo deals should the Royal Victoria come up again.

Very welcoming. The staff were friendly and supportive. The room was lovely, clean and comfortable and the breakfast really nice with lots of choices. Great value for money on the travelzoo deal.

Location cannot be beaten if you want to explore Snowden and the surrounding area.
