Great location for walking into Cirencester which is a good town to visit - lots of independant shops, bars and cafes. No chain stores that we could see!
The staff were exceptionally attentive and polite / chatty.

Constructive criticism - the attached spa is bookable for £15pp in 1 hour slots.
It would have been better if hotel guests had a 50% reduction.

Hotel was nice and staff were lovely - good position about 35 minutes walk into Cirencester. Unfortunately our room was above the venue room where the staff 'Christmas' party was being held, so the noise level was very loud in our room until 11.15pm. Also, lacking in atmosphere in the restaurant as not many guests eating there, but due to time of year I think!

Comfortable room & bed. Very pleasant staff & great breakfasts. Dinner & wine were nice. There were a few little things to improve - cobwebs on window, rusty plug in bath, lime scale on taps etc - but this is nitpicking. Enjoyed our stay & would return.

Shower temperature dial didn’t work so reported that. Didn’t bother us too much. Used the spa, which was lovely. Beautiful garden so would be nice in summer. Drove into Gloucester to see cathedral & enjoyed the general area.

Perfectly situated for exploring the Cirencester area of the Cotswolds. Really lovely rooms (we upgraded to a Feature room in the old part of the building). Breakfast was great, cooked to order with good quality ingredients and a decent range of cereals, fruit etc. All the staff we met were helpful and friendly.

The staff were very welcoming. The hotel was warm and had a lovely fire going. The food was good and little touches like home made biscuits with your coffee were lovely, as were the scones and cream. Breakfast was excellent and the coffee was good.
The hotel was in walking distance of Cirencester and easy to find.
The shower in our room could have been bigger.

Who on earth would go out and purchase many teapots that quite frankly aren't fit for purpose???
The crockery, although very nice is poorly designed, and as a result the cutlery ends up time and time again....Your buyer of such things should not be let loose again!😉

We arrived at the hotel at noon. There was no thought of allowing us to check in early, whether the rooms were ready or not. We left our cars in the car park and walked into Cirencester. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. the breakfast was excellent. The staff were helpful and friendly. We ate an evening meal there on our first night - big mistake! The food was poor (I had steak, which was expensive and tough!) The selection of ales in the bar was poor.

It was lovely, however we were unaware that this was a dog friendly hotel. We were not told on arrival and never thought to ask. As asthmatics who are allergic to dogs we spent an uncomfortable night dependent on our inhalers. I think they should have a sign in reception alerting guests to this enabling them to ask for a dog free room

The only negative was the loud sounds from the floor above us and the hallways, I'm a very light sleeper so this kept me up at night but my friend slept soundly.
