Hotel details
The 5-star Radisson Blu Zaffron Resort is on the island's east coast, perfect for catching the sunrise. This luxurious bolthole is made up of whitewashed houses resembling a Greek village with a contemporary twist.
The freshwater pool (heated in April–May, and October) is surrounded by palm trees, cushioned loungers, and hammocks under pergolas. Massage and beauty treatments are available at the plush Callisti Spa—you'll get a 50€ voucher per room to use there. Active guests can work out in the fully-equipped gym.
Breakfast and dinner at the Zaffron Restaurant are included. Grab a drink or a snack from the Blu Pool Bar; one cocktail per person, per stay is included.
Your soundproofed room has a furnished terrace or balcony. There's a kettle, and a Nespresso coffee machine with pods. Pool towels are provided, and Wi-Fi is free throughout the hotel.
It takes about two minutes to walk to the volcanic black-sand beach of Kamari. In the village you'll find delightful tavernas, galleries, and souvenir shops. The main town, Thira, is 15 minutes away by car. It is famed for jaw-dropping views over sheer cliffs soaring above the sea.
