Hotel details
Myconian Avaton is a 5-star hotel on the south coast. Its whitewashed buildings resemble a traditional Greek village, while the interior design is bold and playful. Expect vivid pops of colour, and a mix of modern and vintage styles. The Daily Telegraph praises the "warm, friendly and professional service”.
Relax at the sizeable main pool that has twinkling lights in the evenings. You can work out in the gym, or join yoga or Pilates classes. The plush spa has a sauna, a steam room, and heated thalassotherapy pools. A section of sandy Elia Beach in the bay below is reserved for guests only—the regular hotel shuttle can get you there in no time.
Sip champagne at breakfast on a veranda overlooking the Aegean Sea. Combine a generous buffet spread with items from the à la carte menu. The Panorama Restaurant is open for lunch and dinner, and it offers Mediterranean flavours. The all-day Kokkino Bar serves snacks and drinks.
