Hotel details
Wander through the gardens to find your favourite spot around one of the three pools. The private lido with direct access to the ocean is a rarity on the island.
This 5-star hotel has a 2000-square-metre Thalasso Sea Spa. It has a vitality pool, a steam room, a sauna, plus relaxation areas. You'll get access for no extra charge twice per stay. The health club has a gym, and squash courts. You can join aerobics, Pilates, and spinning classes.
Daily breakfast and dinner are included at the main buffet restaurant. You can also take dine-around meals from set menus at two speciality venues. These are a traditional Madeiran restaurant, and an Italian that offers pasta, pizza, and sweet treats. You could also dine at the poolside (fresh fish and lunchtime snacks) and the sushi restaurant, where you get 15€-per-person credit from your à la carte food bill.
You'll stay in a Superior Room with uninterrupted views over the Atlantic Ocean from your balcony. Tea- and coffee-making facilities are at hand, and Wi-Fi is free throughout.
The hotel is 25 minutes' walk, or a short taxi ride from the city centre. Funchal is a pretty town with al fresco cafes, and lush garden squares.
