Hotel details
Begin with three nights in Milan at the 4-star Hotel Nasco. Milan is very easy to explore on foot—the hotel is a 30-minute walk from some of the city's best-loved sights. You can walk to Santa Maria delle Grazie (where you can see Leonardo da Vinci's Last Supper painting), the Leonardo da Vinci Museum, and Castello Sforzesco. It's a 10-minute taxi ride from the city's Gothic cathedral. 

You'll then stay overnight in Chur, Switzerland's oldest city. The hotel is located within the Old Town, and has been in operation since 1793. The city's Old Town is car free—wander the winding cobblestone streets and admire pastel-hued houses. There's a cable car about a 15-minute walk away, which you can ride up to the beautiful Brambrüesch plateau. Take in panoramic views of the surrounding mountains, including the UNESCO-listed Swiss Tectonic Arena Sardona.

Finish with three nights on the outskirts of Zurich at Hotel Zwiback. The hotel is around a 15–20 minute train ride from Zurich's city centre. Explore the Old Town, home to Zurich's historic guild houses that date from the Middle Ages. Admire views across the Old Town from Lindenhof, an elevated part of the city, and tour the Lindt Home of Chocolate. 

About the extras
The iconic Bernina Express travels into the Swiss Alps along one of Europe's most breathtaking railway lines. Travel from Tirano to Chur along the line, crossing the UNESCO-listed Landwasser Viaduct.

Terme de Montel Milano is Milan's first urban thermal baths, with 10 indoor and outdoor thermal pools. The complex is a 25-minute subway ride from the hotel. You'll get five hours' spa access. There are four saunas, a Turkish bath, and a hammam. You can chill out in nine dedicated relaxation areas. 

Museo Bagatti-Valsecchi is a historic house museum. It's a 30-minute bus ride from the hotel. The museum houses Italian Renaissance paintings and sculptures and is a grand example of 19th-century art. 

Join a guided tour of Lake Como, Bellagio, and Lugano from Milan. Start at the alpine Lake Como, stop at the lakeside town of Bellagio, then continue to the glacial Lake Lugano.
