Hotel details
Hotel Punta Imperatore is a traditional, family-run establishment on the outskirts of Forio. Citara Beach is a few steps away across the coastal road. The friendly and attentive service gets constant praise from guests.

Get comfortable at the pool, or on the sunset-facing beach only metres away. There's a snack bar for light meals and drinks. Air-conditioned rooms have a satellite TV and a safety box, and Wi-Fi is free throughout.

Italian specialities are on offer at many restaurants nearby. The lively harbour and the pretty old town are five minutes away by public bus. A stop is just outside the main entrance. The thermal park of Giardini Poseidon has 20 pools and an extensive spa. It is less than 10 minutes' walk from your hotel.

About the excursions
While there, you'll cross the Bay of Naples to Capri. This glamorous speck of land was the summer retreat of Roman emperors, and it still draws an A-list crowd. Catch a bus or a taxi from the port to the main hilltop town. See stately villas hidden behind bougainvillea and lemon trees, browse designer boutiques, or do some serious people-watching at a gelateria.

No visit to Southern Italy would be complete without seeing the Amalfi Coast. Admire dramatic mountains rising from the sea as you approach by boat. You'll drop anchor at the towns of Amalfi and Positano, with two hours at leisure in each.

Transfers & baggage
Return airport transfers, with ferry crossing, are included. Add checked baggage from £80 per item.
