Hotel details
Reykjavík Residence is an apartment-style hotel in the heart of downtown Reykjavík. The apartments are spread across several historic buildings, all within a few minutes walking distance from each other. The hotel reception is available 24 hours and is a short stroll away from the apartment buildings.
The hotel is close to the bustling Laugavegur Street, Reykjavik’s main shopping street, filled with boutiques, restaurants, and lively bars. Reykjavík Harbour is a 20-minute walk away and the impressive Hallgrímskirkja church is less than 10 minutes' walk away.
Studio Apartments feature a flat screen TV and a well-equipped kitchenette with a coffee machine. A breakfast basket is brought to your room and left in the fridge the day before. Fresh bread will be delivered to your room each morning.
About the tours
See the Northern Lights at sea on an atmospheric boat tour. An expert guide is on board to let you know when the lights appear, and in the meantime, you can cosy up with a hot drink inside the café. They can also help with camera settings for the best photos, and tell you all about the science behind the lights—plus some myths and legends, too.
The Golden Circle tour takes you to the world-famous Geysir geothermal area, home to sprouting springs, including Strokkur, Iceland's most active geyser. You'll also visit the rushing Gullfoss Waterfall, and Thingvellir National Park.
Reykjaböð Hot Springs is in the Reykjadalur Valley in Hveragerði and opened in August, 2026. Set against Iceland’s dramatic volcanic landscape, the retreat brings together naturally heated geothermal pools and a Nordic-inspired bathhouse.
