Hotel details
The Views Baía is a 4-star property in Funchal. It has magnificent views over the city, the surrounding hills, and the coastal cliffs. You can see the glimmer of the ocean from the large freshwater pool outside.

Meals are included at the Bay View buffet restaurant. On the rooftop, you'll also find Desarma, a fine-dining restaurant that's in the 2026 Michelin Guide Portugal. There are three tasting menus, and the cellar has one of the world's best selections of Madeira wines. Dining at Desarma costs extra. 

There's also a deck bar and a cocktail bar with live music. There's another pool inside, as well as a gym, a hot tub, and a spa. Spa entry is included. Travelzoo members get a 15% discount on treatments.

Funchal, Madeira's capital, is around 15 minutes' walk down the hill. The hotel runs complimentary shuttles five days a week. Head in to ride a wicker toboggan through the old lanes and visit the famous botanical garden.

The Levada dos Tornos connects directly to Funchal, so you can go hiking without a car.
