The Peninsula Hotel is in a secluded spot in Vale, on the north coast of Guernsey The nearest beach is just two minutes' walk away. Some of the best beaches on the island, like Pembroke, are within 10 minutes' drive. Lonely Planet says the beaches along the north coast are "stunning". In the autumn and winter, you could discover one all to yourself.
You could spend your £50 room credit on a meal at the cosy hotel restaurant. It has a 4 AA Rosette rating. Expect delicious local produce and freshly-caught seafood. In the winter, wood burners crackle all around. The bar serves craft beer from Guernsey's own Little Big Brew Co.
St Peter Port, the island's capital, is less than 15 minutes' drive from the hotel (or a 30-minute bus ride). The location makes it easy to get into town in the evenings.
