Hotel details
Hotel Sans Souci sits at the far end of the beach in Gabicce Mare, around 10 minutes' walk from the modern town centre. The sand slopes gently into the water outside the hotel, ideal for swimming.
The hotel's main highlight is the heated rooftop swimming pool, which has panoramic sea views. The restaurant serves breakfast and 4-course dinners every day. You'll also get a small glass of local wine every night.

Vincisgrassi is a type of wild mushroom and prosciutto lasagne), olive ascolane is a deep-fried olive stuffed with meat, and the town's own freshly caught seafood is top-tier.
Beyond the sands lie some pretty Medieval hamlets. Fiorenzuola di Focara and Casteldimezzo both around a 15-minute taxi ride from the hotel.
A tourist bus runs direct to Gradara—a beautiful fortified village with its own castle. You could also hike the rugged coastal trails of Monte San Bartolo.
