Hotel details
Riviera Resort & Spa is an adults-only hotel in a prime position above Marfa Bay. It's at the northernmost point of the island, near direct ferry links to the smaller islands of Gozo and Comino.
The hotel has a buffet restaurant, two à la cartes, two outdoor pools, and an indoor pool with a whirlpool. There's also an onsite spa (supplements apply) and a wellness centre that hosts yoga, tai chi, and salsa classes.
Mellieha Bay—the island's only Blue Flag beach—is five minutes away by taxi, or 10 minutes by bus. The 16th-century capital city, Valletta, is around an hour's drive. UNESCO has called it "one of the most concentrated historic areas in the world". If you go to Valletta, you'll get free tickets for The Malta Experience. This audio-visual show tells the 7000-year story of the island.
