Hotel details
Hotel de France is a historic 4-star hotel that dates from the 19th century. It is one of the largest hotels on the island, set in 11 private acres on the outskirts of St Helier. A courtesy shuttle bus runs between the hotel and the town centre.
You'll enjoy a 2-course dinner at La Terrasse Restaurant & Bar on the first night of your trip. Options normally include delicious Jersey produce, like wild mushrooms, black butter, and freshly-foraged scallops and cockles.
St Helier is around 15 minutes' walk from the hotel. In autumn and winter, the city is a quiet escape from the hustle and bustle of the mainland. It's a great time to explore Elizabeth Castle and the Victorian Market without the summer crowds. In the evenings, cosy up in a pub with a roaring fire or try the local gin in a chic cocktail bar.
