Why We Love This Deal

The deal is £239 per person. You'll pay an extra €3.50 per person, per night tourist tax at the hotel. This totals €10.50 over three nights (approximately £8.75), bringing the total to £247.75 per person.

About Montegrotto Terme
Montegrotto Terme is on the edge of the Euganian Hills, around 30 minutes west of Venice by train. Little-known in the UK, it is one of the country's oldest thermal spa towns.
Once, Romans built massive open-air baths here to heal wounded soldiers. Nowadays, the mineral-rich water is used in hydrotherapies approved by the Italian National Health System.
The bubbling springs begin as crisp rainfall in the foothills of the Alps. The water seeps thousands of metres below ground, gaining a unique mineral profile on its 30-year journey to Montegrotto. When it finally surfaces, temperatures can reach 90°C.
Hotel details
Hotel Olympia Terme has two thermal pools, a steam grotto, three types of hydromassage jets, various saunas, and a Kneipp walking path. Hot mud baths, known locally as fangotherapy, are available for an extra cost. Breakfast and dinner are included daily.
A regional train line links the area's spa towns, and the station an 8-minute walk. The next stop on the line, Battaglia Terme, has direct access to a walking trail in the Euganian Hills. Walk up through the woodland to the Monte Ceva Nature Reserve, famed for its ancient volcanic ridges. The soil produces excellent white wine, the perfect reward after a long hike.
Other options
