Hotel details
With its predominantly cliff-lined coast, it's rare to get hotels in the Algarve that sit directly on the beach. However, the Casa de Sada Algarve Beach Resort is set to open next month, with direct access to the golden sands. The 5-star property is in the town of Armação de Pêra, where local fishermen still pull up on the shore in colourful boats. The famous Benagil Cave is less than 20 minutes' drive away.
There's a large outdoor swimming pool overlooking the ocean, as well as a restaurant serving authentic Portuguese and North African cuisine. Dine on the terrace to take in views of the Atlantic with your meal. Find your perfect sundowner spot and grab a cocktail at the rooftop bar.
