Hotel details
The 4-star Sugar Bay Barbados sits on its own palm-lined beach. There are two swimming pools, a kids' club, a gym, and a spa. You could also try non-motorised watersports along the turquoise shores.
Meals are served at the buffet restaurant and the casual beach eatery. Guests can dine once a week at the steakhouse and Asian-fusion restaurants (reservation required). There are five bars onsite, including a swim-up pool bar and a pub.
Signature Rooms feature views of either the pool or gardens from their private balcony or terrace. Cable TV, tea and coffee facilities, air conditioning, and free Wi-Fi are among the amenities offered.
Bridgetown, with its UNESCO-listed downtown area, is 10 minutes' drive from the resort. Oistins is about 15 minutes' drive away. This stop is famous for its Friday night Fish Fry. Here, locals and tourists sample food from around 80 outdoor stalls.
