Hotel details
The 5-star Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort & Spa is just a 15-minute speedboat journey from Velana Interanational Airport. It's surrounded by a shimmering, blue lagoon and white-sand beaches.
Facilities include a freshwater outdoor swimming pool, a tennis court, a gym, and a spa. A range of watersports and underwater activities are also available—from a sunset dolphin cruise to diving and coral planting.
There are seven restaurants at the hotel. The buffet restaurant, Feast, serves a range of options for breakfast and dinner. For more of a fine dining experience, try the seafood restaurant Sea Salt, which has ocean views and a romantic, candlelit setting. "The buttery lobster served with freshly-made pasta was a highlight", says Glamour UK.
There are also Indian, Thai, and pan-Asian eateries. For more relaxed comfort food by the beach, you can head to the Kakuni Hut—think tacos, burgers, and poke bowls. Anchorage serves Mediterranean dishes, and is the perfect place to catch the sunset with live music and a cocktail.
Deluxe Guest Rooms come with a furnished, private balcony or terrace, overlooking the resort's tropical gardens. Amenities include a Nespresso machine, a mini fridge, and a TV with satellite/cable channels. Wi-Fi is free.
