Hotel details
The Shandrani Beachcomber Resort & Spa was Mauritius' first all-inclusive resort. Set on a private peninsula in the Blue Bay Marine Park, the hotel is right on the beach and spread over 140 acres of tropical paradise.
There are two outdoor swimming pools beside the sea. You can book a treatment in the spa (supplements apply), or take part in a complimentary yoga class. Other activities such as waterskiing, windsurfing, kayaking, and Hobie cat sailing are covered by the all-inclusive package. There is also a kids club for children aged 3–11, with a range of activities from painting to treasure hunts.
The resort has six restaurants to choose from, five of which are à la carte. Choose from Thai, Italian, seafood, and more. Breakfast is served buffet style—you can choose from crepes to Mauritian street food. The Italian restaurant also offers an adults-only breakfast.
Head out for a pre-dinner cocktail at La Playa beach bar, which offers complimentary wine and cheese twice a week. After dinner, catch a band or a DJ at the Blue Bay bar, which also has a wine cave. On the weekends, you can dance the night away at the Copacabana nightclub. A babysitter is available on request.
