Hotel details
The St Regis Langkawi is a 5-star property on the island's south coast. The hotel looks out over the Andaman Sea, and is well-positioned for deep orange sunsets. The island's main town is about a 15-minute drive away.
Facilities include a large outdoor swimming pool, a gym, and a plush spa. You can also unwind on the hotel's private, sandy beach. Service is very attentive, with staff learning guests' names.
Breakfast is served at L'Orangerie, and is included in this deal. In the evening, there's a more international feel with Chinese, Moroccan, and Middle Eastern cuisine. Pantai Grill offers beachside, wood-fired cooking, while Kayu Pati serves Asian-inspired dishes. The Daily Telegraph calls Kayu Pati "the property's highlight" and a "prime spot for sunset cocktails". It's built over the ocean, and was designed by renowned architect Bill Bensley.
Your room has a balcony overlooking the resort's lush gardens. It comes with a separate living and dining area, and tea- and coffee-making facilities. The bathroom has a separate shower and oversized bath tub. Wi-Fi is free.
